Activity Schedule
- 07:30 – Departure from Colégio Estadual Bangu
- Departure of students and chaperones in chartered transport heading to UERJ.
- 09:00 – Arrival and Reception
- Welcome at Gate 7 of UERJ and escort to the Institute of Physics Armando Dias Tavares (IFADT).
- 09:10 – Opening Lecture
- Title: Basic principles of RPC detectors and their applications in Particle Physics.
- Speaker: Prof. Maurício Thiel.
- Location: Room 30126 F / IFADT Auditorium.
- 10:00 – Guided Technical Visit to Laboratories
- Division of participants (30 students and 4 teachers) into small groups for a rotating circuit through the laboratories:
- Room 3006 F: RPC Detector Laboratory (Prof. Maurício Thiel and Prof Helio Nogima)
- Room 3058 F: Physics IV and Modern Physics Laboratory (Prof. Eliza Melo)
- Room 3064 F: Optics Laboratory (Prof. Pinheiro)
- Room 3102 F: Archeometry Laboratory (Prof. Armando Dias Tavares Jr.)
- 12:20 to 14:00 – Lunch
- Lunch at the University Restaurant (RU@UERJ)
- 14:00 to 16:00 - Activities at the "Com Ciência Física" ( Coordination Prof Lais, presented by Master's student JP)
- 16:00 – Closing and Departure
- Distribution of snack kits to students.
- Boarding and return trip to Colégio Estadual Bangu.
- Logistical Information and Recommendations
- Reception at Gate 7: Vehicle model confirmation for security clearance and parking instructions with UERJ security staff.
- Lunch at RU: Authorized entry for the 26 students (free of charge) and 4 teachers.
- Group Organization: Divide into groups of 5-6 people with student guides to ensure smooth movement within laboratories.
- Snack Kit: Distribution before boarding for the return trip.
