Rio de Janeiro is one of Brazil’s main tourist destinations and offers a wide range of hotels in different areas of the city. To support RPC 2026 participants in finding suitable accommodation, the conference has appointed OMNI Eventos as the official travel agency for the event. The agency is currently negotiating special rates with selected hotels for participants who book through them.
Since there are limited hotel options in the immediate surroundings of the Universidade do Estado do Rio de Janeiro (UERJ), participants are advised to choose accommodation located as close as possible to a subway station. The university is served by the Rio de Janeiro subway system, and staying near a station will make daily transportation to the conference venue easier.
The list of suggested hotels is provided below, together with their distance from the nearest subway station. Participants are, of course, free to book directly with any of these hotels or with other hotels of their preference in Rio de Janeiro. Participants may also contact OMNI Eventos and request assistance in negotiating rates for a hotel of their choice. We strongly advise participants to choose hotels or other accommodations located close to a subway station, as this will make daily travel to the conference venue easier and more convenient. Please note that UERJ is located near Maracanã subway station; for further details on how to reach the university, please check the “Conference Venue” section of this website.
