Description
By the time of this conference, the sPHENIX experiment at the Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider (RHIC) will have started its second data taking run. sPHENIX is the first major upgrade to a Nuclear Physics experiment in the US in 2 decades, and will be the final experiment taking data at RHIC before the construction of the Electron-Ion Collider. In 2023, the experiment went through a commissioning phase with beam that was meant to be followed by a physics production period. However, that was cut short by a failure of a RHIC magnet that prematurely ended the beam operations for the year. sPHENIX still took about 12PB of data in various modes, and will be able to extract some physics results from the data. We will show what was accomplished, and how the new combination of triggered and streaming readout modes worked.
