The conference has some limited financial support to attend the conference and short courses for people in need, especially from low-income countries. This support is credited against conference expenses.

Description | To promote continuing education and encourage membership in NPSS. |
Grant | Maximum of 500EUR for each recipient, mostly for tuition in NPSS sponsored Short Courses/Tutorials, but in selected cases, possibly for partial hotel room costs to attend a Short Course/Tutorial. A maximum of six grants will be given for this conference. |
Funding | Funded by the IEEE Nuclear and Plasma Sciences Society. |
Eligibility | Outstanding members of NPSS who are either Student Members, Post-Doctoral Fellows or Research Associates, or unemployed members needing assistance in changing career direction. |
Basis for Judging | Exceptional promise as a student, postdoc or research associate in any of the fields of NPSS, or exceptional work in those fields by currently unemployed NPSS members with an expectation that attendance to one or more of the Short Courses will result in an improved possibility of obtaining a job in an NPSS field. |
Note | Self-nomination will not be accepted. |
Award presentation | Presented at each Real Time Conference. |
Real Time Conference Grant

Description | To support people to attend the Real Time Conference and its Short Courses. |
Grant | Maximum of 350EUR for each recipient, credited against the Real Time Conference registration fee. |
Funding | Funded by the IEEE NPSS Real Time Conference. |
Eligibility | People who want to attend the Real Time Conference and require financial support. Priority will be given to authors of accepted abstracts, IEEE and NPSS members, students, and people from low-income countries. |
Basis for Judging | Exceptional promise as a student, postdoc or research associate in any of the fields of NPSS. |
