NVEC is the UKs National Vacuum Electronics Conference (NVEC) aimed at giving a platform to young researchers. Vacuum electronics covers devices such as Thermionic Valves, Hydrogen Thyristors, Klystrons, TWTs, Gyrotrons and Magnetrons where a cathode emits a current of electrons into a vacuum, where it interacts with electromagnetic fields often for the purpose of amplification. The conference may also accept talks on microwave electronics and high power RF engineering. This conference gives speaking priority to UK based PhD students and young researchers.
