How to get to Cinvestav
There are several ways to reach Cinvestav:
1.- Take an Uber or a Didi taxi; this is the easiest option. Request the service using your preferred app.
Alternatively, hail a taxi on the street; ensure the driver turns on the taxi-meter and pay the fare shown.
You can also take the Metrobús or the Metro to the Indios Verdes terminal station; from there (see the map):
2.- Go up the stairs and cross the pedestrian bridge toward the Cablebús station. Ride for one stop and walk 1 km to Cinvestav Gate 1.
3.- Walk to the taxi station and take a taxi to Cinvestav.
4.- Go up the stairs and cross the pedestrian bridge toward the bus stop for buses heading to Cinvestav. Take the bus to the stop on Av. Politécnico and walk 220 meters from there to Cinvestav Gate 1.

5. By car, drive along Insurgentes Norte to Calzada Ticomán and then to Avenida Politécnico; turn right there, and at the first U-turn, take the side lane to reach the entrance to Cinvestav Gate 1. Or use the Google Maps app to get to Cinvestav Puerta 1.
Public transport in Mexico City (CDMX)
The Metro, Metrobús, Cablebús, and trolleybus all use the same card. You can buy it at Metro or Metrobús stations. You can also use the app CDMX (free) to top up your card or access public transport. The cost ranges from 5 to 7 pesos (0.25 to 0.35 USD).
You can use the entire metro network with a single payment; you no longer need to pay for transfers within the metro system. Other types of transport are paid for on a per-trip basis.
City buses (*peseros*) have fares ranging from 7 to 10 pesos (0.35–0.50 USD), which often depend on the distance traveled. Ask the driver the cost to your destination. Payment must be made in cash.
Street-hail taxis use taxi-meters. Make sure the driver turns it on when you get in and pay the amount shown. You can leave a 10% tip or round up the fare, but it is not mandatory.
Services such as Uber, Didi, and other ride-hailing apps are also available.

In addition, public transportation is available just outside the main entrance of Cinvestav along Instituto Politécnico Nacional avenue, with routes toward Montevideo avenue, providing convenient access to all of the recommended locations.
