The Nordic-Baltic Astronomy Days 2026 conference, to be held in Turku between May 26-29, is open to all astronomy researchers interested to network within the Nordic-Baltic research community. However, if we approach full capacity, we will prioritize the in-person participation of Nordic/Baltic researchers (i.e., those based in Finland, Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Iceland, Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania) and their close collaborators.
Please fill this form to register. Once your Indico registration is approved by the organizers, you will receive a confirmation email with further instructions. Crucially, after the approval, please pay the registration fee following the instructions. The payment deadline for the current fee is January 31st, 2026. Only paying registrants are allowed to participate in the conference.
The current fee is 100 EUR for junior researchers (i.e., Master and PhD students) and 150 EUR for senior researchers (i.e., postdoctoral researchers). This fee will include:
- Conference lunch for 3 days
- Social dinner for 1 evening
- Conference coffee-break snacks for 4 days
- Free public transportation access for 6 days
- Excursion to the Tuorla Observatory (Space Park Väisälä)
Via this form Nordic and Baltic participants may apply for the Travel & Accommodation Aid, intended to partially reimburse their travel/accommodation costs. This aid will likely be between 100 EUR to 200 EUR (final amount TBC) per awardee. When deciding who will receive this aid, we will prioritize junior participants from Nordic countries who register early. We have a generous amount of funds to distribute, so we encourage you to apply for the Travel & Accommodation Aid.
Abstract submission is done in a different form. The deadline for abstract submission is Jan 31st, 2026.
