Culinary recommendation

We will offer free conference lunch to all participants on 3 days.

Turku is the food capital of Finland, with a lot of great restaurants located by and around the Aura river.

Here are a few of our recommended culinary locations:

Turku Market Hall (Kauppahalli)

Located close to the market square, this indoor market hall has been in operation since 1896. Here you can find  a wide selection of Finnish delicacies.

Address: Eerikinkatu 16, 20100 Turku

Delhi Darbar

Located at a 20-minute walk from the conference venue, this restaurant offers wide range of tasty, traditional Indian dishes.

Address: Hämeenkatu 8, 20500 Turku

Bageri Å

Located up the Kakola hill (Kakolanmäki; 20-minute walk from the conference venue) in the former Kakola prison (now a hotel), this bakery offers many freshly baked, delicious Finnish and Nordic pastries.

You could combine it with a visit to the nearby Kakola Brewery for a taste of locally brewed beers.

Address: Graniittilinnankatu 2 j, 20100 Turku

Riverside Finnish Fast Food

For a quick bite, we recommend the riverside grilli stands:
