For all non-Indian nationals: In order to attend Lattice2025, you will require a stamped Conference/Business/Research Visa. An e-Visa (including e-Conference, e-Business or e-Research) will not suffice for visiting TIFR. Prior to applying for a visa, the Government of India requires some information on conference attendees. To initiate your visa application process, please complete the pre-registration form (https://www.tifr.res.in/lattice2025/registration_new.php) to initiate the visa application process. We will mail a letter of invitation for visa purposes to registered international participants as soon as the pre-registration is approved. The validity period of the visa can be up to six months (depending on the consulate). A conference, business or research visa will also allow for tourism. However, if you wish to visit a neighbouring country (Nepal, Bhutan or Sri Lanka) and then return to India, you will need a multiple-entry visa.
Accompanying foreign nationals with a participant: Accompanying foreign nationals not participating in the conference can apply for any visa, e.g., an e-tourist-visa, which is available online for a number of countries. With this visa, you will be able to attend conference dinners, the main auditorium, and the cultural programme. However, please note that you will not have access to TIFR's main building.
