Those attending the guided tour of Suomenlinna are advised to take the 15:30 ferry from the Market Square (Kauppatori in Finnish) to Suomenlinna - earlier ferry at 15:00 is also okay. The 15:30 ferry from Market Square will arrive in Suomenlinna at 15:45, and the guides (Noah and Heidi) will be waiting for the participants at the Suomenlinna pier at 15:45 with a sign saying SEWM2026 or similar. Participants need to purchase an AB-zone public transportation ticket for the Suomenlinna ferry. Please be at the Market Square early enough (buying a ticket may take time), the ferry does not wait!

Public transportation ticket to Suomenlinna
You can buy a ticket for the ferry using contactless payment, the HSL app, or a ticket machine. You can travel to Suomenlinna with any HSL ticket that includes zone A (AB, ABC, ABCD, or ABCDE). For the journey between Market Square and Suomenlinna, an AB ticket is sufficient. An adult AB single ticket costs EUR 3.30. The ticket is valid for 90 minutes.
Buying a ticket via the HSL app (recommended): You can buy single, day or season tickets easily via the HSL app. The app also provides you with up-to-date route and timetable information.
Buying your ticket with contactless payment: You can buy a single ticket for your journey to Suomenlinna using contactless payment. Simply select the zones and tap your debit or credit card (Visa or Mastercard) on the reader. The ticket will be stored on your card. You can also pay with a mobile phone or a smartwatch that has contactless payment enabled.
Buying a ticket at a ticket machine: You can also buy your ticket at the ticket machines located at the ferry piers at Market Square and on Suomenlinna.
