"Cognate" means that you are a member of one or more of the following organisations (and can demonstrate that membership, if requested to do so): Australasian College of Physical Scientists and Engineers in Medicine (ACPSEM) - Australasian Radiation Protection Society (ARPS) - Australasian Society for General Relativity and Gravitation (ASGRG) - Australian Acoustical Society (AAS) - Australian Institute of Physics (AIP) - Australian and New Zealand Optical Society (ANZOS) - Australian Society of Rheology (ASR) - Royal Australian Chemical Institute (RACI) - The Australian and New Zealand Association of Mathematical Physics (ANZAMP) - The Victorian Physics Teachers Network (VicPhys) - Vacuum Society of Australia (VSA).
Please note that registration payment is a separate process from filling in the registration form. Instructions for making that payment are given in the overview section at the start of the registration form.
What's included in an ASM registration?
The all-days in-person Full/Cognate/Student/Retired/Non-member registration includes the Welcome Reception, lunches, morning and afternoon breaks.
The Spouse/Carer registration includes the Welcome Reception, lunches, morning and afternoon breaks.
The One-day and Two-day tickets include the Welcome Reception, and lunch and morning/afternoon breaks on the day(s) of attendance.
HWS Registrations
Registrations close June 2nd.
With accomodation (51 places available in total) : $600
Without accomodation (10 places available) : $450
Inclusions - breakfasts/lunches/dinners, the HWS Dinner, morning and afternoon breaks, transport to and from Adelaide (via the arranged buses; if using other transport arrangements, the cost of those alternative arrangements is not covered).
ASM Dinner Fees
Full participant/one-day ticket/two-day ticket/spouse/carer : $135
Student : $85
Refund Policy
Full refund : cancel by May 5th
50% refund : cancel by June 23rd
No refund : cancel after June 23rd, or non-attendance
All cancellation and refund requests must be made in writing to cssm@adelaide.edu.au
Extenuating circumstances
Depending on the situation, you may be eligible for a refund. Such situations which would be considered include:

serious illness

death or serious injury of a close family member

sudden loss of employment

family breakdown
-
impact of crime / accident / natural disasters
Any request for refund on the grounds of extenuating circumstances must be supported by appropriate evidence and sent to cssm@adelaide.edu.au
If accepted, refunds will generally be processed within 30 days.
