Description
Hadrons are built of 3 quarks or quark antiquark pair. This is what the quark model tells us. Recent studies of the charmonium system show much more particles observed, which is referred to as the Charmonium(like) states and are good candidates for exotic hadron states beyond the traditional quark model. The BESIII experiment runs in the tau-charm energy region and plays a significant role in this field. In this talk, I will review the status of recent charmonium(like) studies at BESIII, including open-charm and hidden-charm cross section measurements, as well as the upgrade project BEPCII-U.
