Description
We present a fully gauge-invariant quantum algorithm for real-time simulations of Quantum Electrodynamics in 2+1 and 3+1 dimensions. Gauge symmetry is preserved exactly through lattice discretisation, digitisation, and qubitisation, ensuring that Gauss's law is automatically satisfied throughout the evolution. Using efficient finite-dimensional representations of bosonic gauge fields, we construct a scalable route toward the large Hilbert space limit of higher-dimensional QED and benchmark the approach on current quantum hardware using quantum error mitigation techniques.
