Description

Various results across several neutrino experiments, originating with the LSND and MiniBooNE anomalies, and explored recently with MicroBooNE and KATRIN publications, indicate a tension between the standard 3 neutrino oscillation model, and a 3+1 model including an additional ~1eV2 mass scale sterile neutrino. Atmospheric neutrino experiments, which measure in the GeV energy regime, are sensitive to the modification in mu and tau neutrino fluxes arising from the addition of new Uμ4 and Uτ4 elements to the neutrino mixing matrix under a 3+1 model. KM3NeT/ORCA is a neutrino detector being deployed off the coast of Toulon, France, in the Mediterranean Sea. We present an analysis with the aim of measuring and constraining these mixing-matrix parameters using the new KM3NeT/ORCA dataset, covering the operation periods ORCA6-18, which provides a ~4x increase in the data from the previous publication with data from the ORCA006 detector configuration.
