Description

The Deep Underground Neutrino Experiment (DUNE) is designed to make precision measurements of neutrino oscillations with the primary goals of establishing the mass ordering and searching for Charge-Parity (CP) violation in the lepton sector. The DUNE Far Detectors will employ Liquid Argon Time Projection Chambers (LArTPCs) containing approximately 70 ktons of liquid argon, with 40 ktons instrumented as active detector mass, located more than a kilometer underground. The first DUNE Far Detector will consist of an innovative vertical drift TPC utilizing copper strips on perforated printed circuit boards known as Charge Readout Planes (CRPs) for charge collection. This poster presents an overview of the DUNE Vertical Drift (VD) Far Detector and CRP design, as well as progress on assembly and testing of CRPs, including results from the ProtoDUNE-VD experiment at the CERN Neutrino Platform.
