Description
I will first motivate the study of top quark sector in the Standard
Model, particularly through the top-quark pair production in association
with a jet at the LHC. I will then outline the challenges in performing
higher-order computation to achieve precise theoretical prediction,
focusing on the two-loop QCD scattering amplitude calculation. I will
describe our strategies in deriving a representation of the amplitude
that is suitable for phenomenological application and the corresponding
approach for numerical evaluation over physical phase space region.
