Description

The 2nd Journey through the Universe. Gravitation and Advanced Relativity - JUGAR II workshop on quantum gravity, QFT in curved backgrounds, gravitational waves and cosmology is scheduled to take place from December 3-5, 2024, at the Instituto de Estructura de la Materia in CSIC (IEM-CSIC), located in Madrid, Spain.

This event aims to bring together leading experts in advanced general relativity, including quantum-related topics such as loop quantum gravity, non-linear gravity and other quantum gravity approaches, as well as quantum field theory in curved spacetimes. The workshop will also cover applications to symmetry-reduced models, cosmology, black holes, gravitational waves, and related areas.

The workshop, with a predominantly in-person format, will serve as the closing event of the joint grant "The Quantum Gravitational Universe", funded by MCIN/AEI/10.13039/501100011033/.

All regular talks will take place in the Lecture Hall of the Miguel Antonio Catalán Physics Center (CFMAC), at 121 Serrano St., CSIC, Madrid.

The talks on Wednesday, December 4, belonging to the 'Madrid Polygonal Gravity Seminars' (in red on the currect schedule) will take place at the auditorium of the Instituto de Ciencias Agrarias (ICA), at 115 Serrano St., CSIC, Madrid.
