Accommodation
We recommend booking accommodation close to public transport stations. Getting to the Institute is easy by bus which goes from in front of the cathedral ("Kaptol") or Kvaternikov trg ("Kvatrić"). More details below.
There is plenty of AirBnBs as well as regular hotels available at different rates and levels of comfort. You can find general information for tourists at the Zagreb Tourist Centre website.
Please note, at this time of year Zagreb is an especially popular destination due to the famous Christmas market and other Advent related events which are happening around the city centre and further. It is best to arrange accommodation as soon as possible.

Public transport general information
Bus and tram
Zagreb has a big network of trams and buses all across the city. They are managed by the Zagreb Electric Tram company (ZET).
- Tickets: the same ZET tickets are valid on trams and buses. Buy them in the ZET app or at kiosks (note if you have the physical ticket you have to stamp it on a machine in the bus or tram located near first and last doors of the vehicle).
- Prices: tickets are cheap, 0.53€ bought from the app or at kiosks, and somewhat more when bought (cash only) in the tram or bus from the driver. These tickets are valid for 30 minutes. There are other options available for longer rides.
Bajs - city bike service
There is also a city bike service available called Bajs, it is operated by nextbike. The nextbike app and registration is required.
- Price of 30 min ride with Bajs is 0.50€. The bikes must be returned back to one of the many parking spaces across the city. More info here.
