The 36th edition of the National Astronomy and Astrophysics Meeting (ENAA XXXV), organised by the Sociedade Portuguesa de Astronomia (SPA), will take place in Porto, from September 9 to 12, 2026.
ENAA is the main annual networking event of the Portuguese astronomy and astrophysics community, providing a unique forum for the presentation and discussion of scientific results, the development of new collaborations, and reflection on the future challenges and opportunities for research in this field. The meeting will bring together researchers, students, and professionals working across the different areas of astronomy and astrophysics, including observation, theory, instrumentation, data science, science communication, and technological development associated with the exploration of the Universe.
The Scientific Organising Committee (SOC) welcomes abstracts on research-focused topics across all areas of astrophysics, including observational and theoretical studies, instrumentation, data analysis techniques, and interdisciplinary approaches that advance our understanding of the universe.
As part of the Sessão de Comunicação e Educação, held within the framework of the ENAA XXXVI, we also invite contributions related to science education and communication. This session is open to researchers and educators, and will also serve as a short-duration accredited training activity (ação de curta duração) for primary and secondary school teachers. Abstracts may address topics such as school-based initiatives, curriculum development, public engagement, amateur astronomy, and innovative methods for communicating astronomy and science to diverse audiences.
All submitted abstracts will be evaluated according to the same scientific standards.
