    Invited Talk

Relativistic jets from supermassive blackholes are an important driver of feedback in galaxies with an active black hole. They impact the nearby environment over different physical scales during their lifetime, with varying effects. The jets can act as an important agent of injecting energy in the host's ISM, as confirmed both in observations of multi-phase gas, as well as in simulations. Such...

    Dissertation Talk

We investigate the different modes of energy output from active galactic nuclei (AGN) and their connection to black-hole growth in radio-selected galaxies. To achieve this, we use the MeerKAT International GHz Tiered Extragalactic Exploration (MIGHTEE) Early Science catalogue from the COSMOS field observed at 1.28 GHz, which was derived from an image with a median rms of 2 $\mu$Jy beam$^{-1}$....

Hydra A is a FR-I type radio galaxy located at the centre of the Abell 780 cluster with a redshift of z = 0.054. Previous observations of the radio galaxy have been conducted at low frequencies by the Very Large Array (VLA) telescope and using the L-band frequencies of the MeerKAT array telescope. The Chandra X-ray observatory also carried out a detailed survey of the X-ray emission from the...
