Venue

Data Science 2026 will be hosted at the Instituto Galego de Física de Altas Enerxías (IGFAE), located on the Campus Vida (South) of the Universidade de Santiago de Compostela.

The new IGFAE premises offer modern conference facilities and are within walking distance of the historic city centre.

How to get there

  • By plane: Santiago de Compostela Airport (SCQ) is about 15 km from the city centre, with direct connections to major Spanish cities (Madrid, Barcelona, Bilbao, Valencia) and several European destinations. A shuttle bus connects the airport to the city centre every 20–30 minutes (journey time ~30 min). Taxis are also available (~20 minutes).

  • By train: Santiago’s railway station offers frequent connections with Madrid and other Galician cities (A Coruña, Vigo, Ourense).

 

Once in the city, the IGFAE campus can be reached on foot from the centre (~20 minutes), or by local bus/taxi.

 


Accommodation

Santiago offers a wide range of accommodation options, from hotels to guesthouses, most within walking distance of the venue. We recommend booking early as June can be busy with academic and cultural events.

Practical information for participants

  • Wi-Fi: Eduroam is available on campus. A guest network will also be provided.

  • Meals: Coffee breaks will be provided during the symposium. There are university cafeterias and restaurants nearby for lunch options.

  • Accessibility: The venue is fully accessible. Please contact the organisers if you require specific assistance.
