Code of conduct

This workshop is dedicated to providing a respectful, inclusive, and productive environment for all participants, regardless of career stage, background, identity, race, nationality, or affiliation. All participants are expected to contribute to a safe and positive experience for everyone.

Expected Behavior

Participants are expected to:

  • Treat all attendees with respect, professionalism, and consideration.

  • Engage in constructive scientific discussion and debate, being mindful of different perspectives and levels of expertise.

  • Be inclusive and supportive, particularly toward early-career researchers and students.

  • Respect personal boundaries and consent in all interactions.

  • Follow the instructions of workshop organizers and venue staff.

Unacceptable Behavior

Unacceptable behavior includes, but is not limited to:

  • Harassment, discrimination, or intimidation in any form.

  • Offensive comments or actions related to gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, race, ethnicity, nationality, language, religion, or career status.

  • Sexual harassment, including unwelcome advances, inappropriate physical contact, or sexualized language.

  • Disruptive behavior during talks, discussions, or social events.

  • Retaliation against anyone who reports a concern.

Reporting and Enforcement

If you experience or witness behavior that violates this Code of Conduct, we encourage you to report it promptly. Reports can be made confidentially to the workshop organizers.

All reports will be taken seriously and handled with discretion. The organizers may take any action deemed appropriate, including:

  • A warning to the offender,

  • Removal from the workshop without refund,

  • Reporting to the participant’s home institution, if necessary.
