Description
The flavor puzzle remains one of the biggest open questions in particle theory to date and the upcoming results from precision neutrino experiments like DUNE, HK, JUNO, KATRIN, and cosmology will have a large impact on its potential solution in the future. We show how five popular classes of flavor model predictions relate to these expected measurements. We discuss correlations, degeneracies, and discrimination capabilities and highlight how different flavor model predictions can be differentiated and the roles each upcoming observable has on flavor model predictions. Ultimately, we find that that the precision targeted in future measurements will be sufficient to dramatically reduce the number of viable leptonic flavor models, giving us a better understanding of potential solutions to the flavor puzzle.
