Lunch Options

Here are some food suggestions around FIAS:

The Max-Planck-Institute (MPI) for Brain Research offers probably the best lunch. Its canteen, the Minerva, has a weekly changing menu that is at restaurant level.

Another great option is the FIZ Conference Lab, they have a daily menu and a nice salad bar. This is also the location of our conference dinner.

Goethe University:

The university offers many food options, from a small snack to complete meals.

The Mensa Pi x Gaumen is located at the ground level in the Biozentrum. It offers meals for moderate prizes.

On your way to the Mensa you'll pass Café Alfredo here you'll get hot Sandwiches, salads and some sweets.

Riedberg:

If you leave the Campus and go on the other side of the rails you’ll find a lot more food options around Riedbergplatz, from several supermarkets with enclosed cafés or food courts, to full restaurants like

Park Avenue (mixed European food) or IMIZU (mixed Asian food).

Dinner Options

If you’re staying in a hotel close to FIAS, and are looking for a dinner option, you might want to check out the traditional German restaurant “Zum lahmen Esel” less than 10 minutes away from FIAS by foot.

Another restaurant close by is “Isolabella - Ristorante Pizzeria”, a typical Italian restaurant, a bit upwards the Altenhöferallee.

If you are staying at the relexa hotel a thai restaurant “Thai Wok” is close by at Mertonpassage.
