Most of you will arrive at Helsinki-Vantaa Airport. However, some alternatives exist:
Ferries to Turku
Direct ferries from Stockholm arrive in Turku harbor, which is at a 10-minute bus ride from the conference venue. Ferries are often cheaper than flying. Tickets can be purchased from Viking Line and Tallink Silja Line.

Flights to Turku
- Turku International Airport is about 30 minutes by bus from the conference venue.
- Direct flights are usually available from Stockholm, Copenhagen and Riga.

From Helsinki Airport — Direct Bus
From Helsinki (Vantaa) Airport, direct buses operated by various companies take about 2 hours to Turku. Tickets can be purchased from Matkahuolto.
It is recommended to get off at Tuomikirkko (Cathedral), one stop before the main bus station; from there it is a 15-minute riverside walk to the center.

From Helsinki Airport — Train
Train tickets can be purchased from VR. The ticket includes a commuter ride from Helsinki airport to Pasila and then an intercity train ride from Pasila to Turku (city center, Logomo; ~20 minutes walk to the conference venue). Travel time is approximately 2h 30m.
The direct bus is faster and more convenient than the train option.

Taxi in Turku
If you are in need of a taxi in the Turku area, there are multiple companies from which you can book a taxi. For example:
- Taxidata — app or call: 0200 10041 (FI), +358 600 14121 (from abroad).
- Menevä — app or call: +358 800 02120.
Ask the driver for a price estimate in advance.
Services like Uber also operate in Turku and provide a cheaper option.
Free Local Public Transportation
In agreement with the Visit Turku Archipelago organization, we will provide all of our registered participants free public transportation. The participants will be able to access all Turku area public transportation vehicles (Föli buses and water buses) free of charge by scanning a QR code which we will provide later.

Download the app to plan routes across Turku, Raisio, Rusko, Naantali, Kaarina, Lieto, and Paimio.
Tips
- Scan the QR code when entering vehicles.
- Plan routes in advance during rush hours.
