Among the main attractions of Turku easily accessible from the conference venue, we would like to suggest the following:

Turku Castle

Dating back to the 13th century, Turku Castle was once the main fortress of the Swedish Kingdom in Finland. Today, it houses a museum that traces its transformation from a medieval stronghold to a Renaissance palace. It is one of the oldest still-functioning buildings in Finland, and just a 10-minute free bus ride from the conference venue.

Address: Linnankatu 80, 20100 Turku

Old Turku Open-Air Museum

Known as Luostarinmäki, this unique open-air museum preserves wooden houses that survived the great fire of 1827. Each dwelling showcases traditional crafts, offering a glimpse into everyday life in Turku in the early 19th century. The museum is only a 15-minute walk from the conference venue.
