Directions to Penn campus and campus maps
You don't need to rent a car! Philadelphia is a very walkable city that has excellent public transport.
Air - Philadelphia International Airport (PHL). Note that you can take the airport train for about $7.50 from the terminals to the Penn campus (Penn Medicine station OR 30th St station).
Train - Frequent Amtrak service to many cities. Philadelphia's 30th St Station is an architectural temple built by the former Pennsylvania Railroad. It is a 10 minute walk away from campus.
Local public transport is known as SEPTA (South Eastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority), with many bus lines and regional rail. Contactless payment with a credit card is accepted on buses (USD 2.50) and trains (USD 7.50)
- Buses run frequently going West from Center City to the Penn campus on Walnut Street
- Buses run frequently going East from the Penn campus to Center City on Chestnut Street
Taxis are also available as well as ride-hailing apps.
