Description

We present results using structured light pulses for longitudinal shaping of plasma waveguides for laser wakefield acceleration. Diffractive optics techniques are combined with traditional refractive or reflective axicons to sculpt and tune waveguides, generating features such as funnel mouths, axial nulls and inward directed shocks. Here we show how to combine and expand the tunability of these techniques.
