After 10 years, in February 2026 WOMBAT returns to its birthplace: the 6th workshop will be held in Sydney, Australia to celebrate a decade of successful meetings! The primary goal of this event is to bring together researchers specialising in opto-mechanics and Brillouin scattering, encompassing a wide range of topics from fundamental research to practical applications.

Contributed talks are allocated 15 minutes total (12 minutes for the presentation and 3 minutes for questions). Posters should be prepared in A1 format and submitted to the committee no later than 3:00 pm on Monday, 9 February, ahead of the poster session.
At this stage, we kindly ask all authors who have received an acceptance for a contributed talk or poster to complete their workshop registration as soon as possible. Research supervisors and staff are also encouraged to remind their team members to finalise their registrations. Timely registration will assist the organising committee in estimating attendee numbers for venue and catering arrangements. Please see the registration tab for more information.
