Transportation
Albany County Airport (ALB), located approximately 15 minutes from RPI, offers service from a number of airlines. There is scheduled commuter service from all three New York City airports (John F Kennedy, La Guardia, and Newark) and Boston. Flying time from Boston or New York City is approximately 45 minutes.
If you are traveling on an international flight, be aware that Albany County Airport's facilities for currency exchange no longer operate. You will want to exchange money at your departing or international arrival airport.
It is recommended to rent a car at the airport. Traveling with a car in this area is relatively easy and parking in Troy hotels is free.
Taxi service or Uber from the airport to RPI costs about $16-25.
