Description

With astroparticle and neutrino physics as primary research goals of the KM3NeT collaboration, the KM3NeT water Cherenkov detectors are currently constructed at two sites in the deep Mediterranean Sea. Using the variable spacing of the optical detection units, the ORCA detector is dedicated to neutrino oscillation studies starting from the GeV range, while ARCA aims at astroparticle physics at higher energies. Having recorded the first data, the presentation will give an overview over the current research status, plans for data analysis and common research and the outlook to a fully operational KM3NeT research infrastructure.
