More about Bergen

So you just had day full of fruitful dark matter discussions, but now your head is overloaded and you would like to occupy it with something else in Bergen?

The most obvious activity is probably to take a strol in the historic city centre located along Vågen (the bay). It spans from the fortress, continues along the Hanseatic Wharf, then onwards to the Fish Market. There is also a funicular to the top of Mount Fløyen where you can enjoy the view of the city - we will go there on Thursday evening for the social dinner.

Probably you also burnt quite a few kJ thinking about dark matter the whole day, and now you need to recover this energy. Luckily, Bergen has a large varity of interesting restaurants! In general, many of them are located in the Vågen area.

Perhaps you want to go somewhere, but it's not in walking distance? The local public transportation will help you. (Tip: it will also get you from the airport, just jump on any light rail and get off at the city centre.)

If dark matter feels a bit too abtract, maybe a visit to the popluar science centre VilVite (WantToKnow) can get your feet back on the ground? Highly recommendable for children in the age 0-100. The Aquarium is also a nice option.

Still didn't find what you are looking for? The Bergen tourist information will be more than happy to help out!
