Description
Generalized transverse momentum dependent parton distributions (GTMDs) capture most of the information about quarks and gluons in both position and momentum space. The Fourier transform of GTMDs yields the Wigner distribution, which provides parton densities in momentum space, position space, or a combination of both. Most previous studies related to GTMDs and Wigner distribution have assumed the momentum transferred to the target state to be purely transverse, with zero longitudinal component, simplifying the calculations. The amount of longitudinal momentum transfer is characterized by the parameter skewness, denoted by $\xi$. Here, we present for the first time a comparative study of quark and gluon GTMDs and Wigner distributions when the momentum transfer to the target state includes a non-zero longitudinal component, i.e., for non-zero skewness.
