Description

The DAE-BRNS High Energy Physics (HEP) Symposium stands as a distinguished biennial event in India, sponsored by the Board of Research in Nuclear Sciences (BRNS) under the Department of Atomic Energy (DAE). This symposium serves as a pivotal platform for the dissemination and discussion of cutting-edge research in the field of high-energy physics. The XXVI edition of the symposium is hosted by Banaras Hindu University (BHU), Varanasi, underscoring the institution's prominent role in advancing scientific research.

The symposium is structured to feature both parallel and invited plenary sessions, offering a comprehensive agenda that caters to a wide array of interests within the high-energy physics community. These sessions will encompass a broad spectrum of topics, including but not limited to particle physics, astroparticle physics, cosmology, and heavy-ion physics. Through these sessions, the symposium aims to foster in-depth discussions and collaborations among experimental and theoretical physicists.

Additionally, a dedicated poster session will be organized, providing an invaluable opportunity for emerging researchers to present their findings and engage with seasoned experts in the field. This forum is particularly designed to encourage young scientists to showcase their innovative research and gain constructive feedback.

The DAE-BRNS HEP Symposium is renowned for its rigorous scientific deliberations and its role in driving forward the frontiers of knowledge in high-energy physics and related areas. By bringing together leading researchers and young investigators, the symposium not only highlights the latest advancements but also paves the way for future research collaborations and discoveries.

The scientific program will cover the following topics:

  • Astroparticle physics and cosmology
  • Beyond the standard model
  • Formal theory
  • Future experiments and detector development
  • Heavy ion and QCD
  • Higgs physics
  • Neutrino Physics
  • Quark and lepton flavour physics
  • Societal applications
