Poster-Drawing, Essay, Quiz, Speech and Photography Competition

Details of Competitions

Entry to each competition will be given only on showing their Identity Card and Registration Ticket sent by organizers through email.

Attractive Cash Prizes and Certificates will be given to the winner of each competition. In addition, two runners-up and consultation prizes will be given. 

T&C for each competition are listed below:

A.  Speech Competition [28th February, 2023]

1. The theme of the speech competition will be Science for Global Well-being.
2. The time duration for each speech will be 5 mins per candidate.
3. Participants are advised to start their speech without any formal introduction/greetings.

B. Photography Competition [28th February, 2023] 

1. The theme of the photography competition is Focusing the Science: Nature, Wildlife, Butterfly, Birds, Campus life, Moving objects, Abstract Open Theme, and Science in everyday life.
2. Each participant should send one additional photograph (two photographs per candidate), in which he/she should be present in the frame. Participants are requested to send the Pictures to vigyaanmahotsav@gmail.com before 28-02-2023, 10:00 am. 
3. Images should be supplied at as high a resolution as possible. Images must be provided in a clean format (e.g. no text, symbols, and borders). Images should be no larger than 10 MB.
4. Photos must be in JPEG format. The submission will be made via email (will be provided later).
5. Basic editing, including color enhancement, filters, and cropping is acceptable. Advanced editing used to create illusions, deceptions, and/or manipulations, and the adding/ removing of significant elements within the frame is prohibited.

C. Poster (Drawing) Competition [1st March, 2023]

1. Poster (Drawing) competition will be held on the theme of  Science for Global Well-being. 
2. The organizers will only provide only A3-size papers. Each participant should bring their own stationaries according to your requirement (including colors, pencil, writing board, etc.).

D. Quiz Competition [1st March, 2023]

1. The Quiz competition will be based on Basic Sciences.
2. The time duration of the quiz session will be 90 mins.
3. The participants should bring a black or blue ballpoint pen.

E. Essay Competition [2nd March, 2023]

1. The theme of the Essay Competition will be Science for Global Well-being. The exact topics will be disclosed at the time of the event.
2. The language could be Hindi/English. The maximum limit is 1000 words.
3. The organizers will only provide only A4-size papers. 
4. The essay should be the original work of the student and it should not be copied from anywhere.
5. The evaluation will be made on the basis of content, coverage, facts, writing spirit inclined towards the topic, and logical presentation with due rationale. The decision of the Jury shall be final & binding on all the participants.
