The University provides free Wifi, either via the encrypted access through eduroam, or via a public open (unencrypted) network @BayernWLAN.

Public Transport
Public transport in Regensburg is well developed. Tickets are available at reasonable prices and can be purchased in the bus, at the vending machines or via the “RVV App” (www.rvv.de/app). The app also provides a detailed timetable of all connections.
If you wish to become an expert on Regensburg public transport, you can download all information from www.rvv.de
Bus lines 6, 11 and the C-lines run between the University and the central Bus station „Albertstraße“ at least every 20 minutes (every half hour at night). Walking takes about 30 minutes.
If you are planning to visit other cities or are going from/to Munich by train, the nation-wide ticket for all local transport (D-Ticket, Euro 49/calendar month) might be an option. It will cover all public transport (e.g., busses) and local trains within Germany (e.g., Nuremberg-Regensburg or Munich-Regensburg) but not long distance trains (e.g., Frankfurt-Regensburg, i.e., IC/EC or ICE). This ticket is only available as a subscription that can easily be cancelled directly after having booked the online ticket for September at the above link.
