Please read the following points before you proceed to online registration:
Visa applications: Participants requiring an invitation letter for visa-related matters should submit a request to the conference secretariat via Britta Schwarz (britta.schwarz[at]mpi-hd.mpg.de), including their full name, academic title, complete official institute address, date of birth, and contact information (email, phone). Please inform us as early as possible. We will promptly send invitation letters, but the visa application process may take some time.
The registration fee includes participation in all conference events (except for the optional excursions), such as coffee breaks, buffet lunch on all conference days, the conference BBQ dinner, a welcome reception, and a daily free shuttle bus in the morning and evening between MPIK and the town center, where most hotels are located. Payment by paypal is preferred, but bank transfer is possible, too. Note that the fee covers only partial expenses while the remaining is funded by the organizing group (NEWFO).
Accompanying persons who wish to join the excursion should register on the first day of the conference.
Accommodation is not included in the registration process. Please be aware of phishing emails that are being sent around! We do not organise accommodations. Please make your own arrangements, as there are many excellent hotels in Heidelberg available online. Feel free to contact us if you have any questions.
Applications are approved on a rolling basis. Please note that the total number of participants is limited.
