The 19th International Workshop on the Dark Side of the Universe (DSU2025) will be held from July 7 - 12 2025 at the  new science campus of the Université de Montreal and is co-organized by McGill University and the Université de Montreal.

DSU is a series of international workshops bringing together a wide range of theorists and experimentalists to discuss current ideas on models of the dark side and relate them to current and future experiments. Webpages for previous workshops in the series are linked at https://cse.umn.edu/ftpi/DSU.

Specific topics for the 2025 edition will include:
- BSM models of dark matter (DM)
- Axions and ultralight DM
- DM formation
- Astrophysical signatures of DM
- New DM detection techniques
- New ideas and observations on dark energy
- Dark energy (DE) and dark matter from string theory
- Neutrino cosmology and its interplay with DM and DE
- Gravitational wave signatures of DM
- Dark ages cosmology

You are encouraged to reserve lodging well in advance of the conference.  A list of suggested hotels is given below, but it is not exhaustive.  Please do not respond to solicitations for lodging pretending to be connected to the conference, since this is a frequently occuring scam with indico events.
Information about arrival and public transportation is also given in the link below.

Registration is open.  The registration fee can be paid through the link
provided in the payment section, or here:
Please note that this is not linked to indico, so your registration will continue to be marked as awaiting payment, but you can ignore that.  The registration fee must be paid by June 22.

Please also indicate your meal preferences here.

Abstracts for invited plenary speakers are still being accepted.

All participants are expected to adhere to the code of conduct given below, and to have also done so at previous DSU conferences that they may have attended.

We have modest funding from APCTP to support expenses for participants from Asian member countries.  You can indicate on the registration form if you wish to be considered for financial aid.  We acknowledge generous financial support from the Canadian Institute for Theoretical Astrophysics
(CITA) , the Trottier Space Institute at McGill (TSI), and the Institute for Particle Physics (IPP).

Arrival information.  Here is a map of the MIL campus.  The Acadie and Outrement metro stations are shown, and the two nearest Bixi stations for those who would like to rent a bike.  The Complexe des sciences is at 1375, ave Thérèse-Lavoie-Roux.
Enter wing A.  The registration desk is directly in front of you, at the end of the hallway.  You can find your name tag here.  Go up to the 5th floor, where you will find room A5502 for the welcome session at 9am on Monday.  This will also be the location of the plenary talks and the reception on Monday evening.

For internet access, eduroam is recommended.  There is also University of Montreal guest wifi.   If you plan to bike, it is technically required (though unlikely to be enforced) and highly recommended to wear a helmet.  You are encouraged to bring one with you in that case.  A biking trajectory is one of the optional activities that will be suggested for Wednesday afternoon.

The weather forecast is here.

Uploading your talk.  We strongly recommend that you present your talk via a pdf file, since powerpoint could be problematic in some of the venues.  Please upload your file to indico no later than 1 hour before your session, so that the files can be copied to the local computer.  Go to the contribution list in indico, find your contribution there, and add your file to the presentation materials at the bottom.  Contributed talks are 20 minutes, plenary talks are 30 minutes, including time for questions.

Timing of talks.  We will provide the convenors with signs labeled 10, 5, 0, -5 to help you keep time.  Zero stands for time allotted minus 5 minutes for questions.  Hence -5 means you will not have time for questions.
