Description
The string theory revolution of the 1980’s led to remarkable developments in quantum field theory in one space and one time dimension.
With my collaborators we developed this theory to predict exact results on the low energy behaviour of various quantum impurity models in condensed matter physics. Some of these predictions were verified recently in experiments on gated semi-conductor quantum dots.
