Privacy Notice – FSHMT Annual Scientific Conference 2026
The Faculty of Technical Medical Sciences, University of Medicine, Tirana, processes personal data submitted through this conference platform solely for the organization and administration of the scientific conference “Future Challenges in the Era of Population Ageing and Chronic Diseases”, taking place on 11–12 December 2026 in Tirana.
Personal data may include name and surname, academic or professional title, institution and affiliation, contact details, participant category, abstract and authorship information, registration data, presentation materials, attendance information, and other information voluntarily provided during registration or submission.
The data are used for conference registration and communication, abstract submission and scientific review, preparation of the scientific programme, management of oral and poster presentations, preparation of participant and author certificates, conference reporting and statistics, and publication of accepted scientific contributions where applicable.
Access to personal data is limited to authorized members of the Organizing Committee, Scientific Board, conference administration and technical platform administrators, according to their assigned responsibilities.
For accepted scientific contributions, the names of authors, affiliations, contribution title and scientific content may appear in the public conference programme, abstract book and/or conference proceedings.
Personal information will not be used for unrelated commercial purposes. Administrative data will be retained only for the period necessary for conference management and institutional documentation, in accordance with the applicable policies of the University of Medicine, Tirana and applicable personal-data-protection requirements.
Participants may request information about their personal data or request correction of inaccurate information by contacting the conference administration at esmeralda.thoma@umed.edu.al.
By registering for the conference or submitting a scientific contribution, participants acknowledge that they have read this privacy notice and understand how their information will be processed for the purposes described above.
