FSHMT Scientific Conference 2026
The Faculty of Technical Medical Sciences, University of Medicine, Tirana, invites academics, researchers, healthcare professionals, early-career researchers, doctoral candidates and students to submit abstracts for the Scientific Conference:
“Future Challenges in the Era of Population Ageing and Chronic Diseases”

Abstract Submission Instructions
Please read the following instructions carefully before submitting your abstract.
1. Abstract format
Abstracts must contain until 350 words and should be written in clear scientific language in Albanian.
The abstract should follow the following structured format:
Introduction – briefly describe the background and objective of the study.
Methods – describe the study design, participants/materials and methodology.
Results – present the principal findings of the study.
Conclusion – state the main conclusions and their scientific or professional relevance.
Tables, figures and references should not be included in the abstract.
2. Title
The abstract title should be concise and informative and should contain no more than 20 words.
Please avoid unnecessary abbreviations in the title.
3. Authors and affiliations
Please provide the full name and institutional affiliation of all authors.
One author must be identified as the presenting author/speaker.
Please ensure that author names and affiliations are entered correctly, as this information may subsequently be used in the scientific programme, Book of Abstracts and certificates.
4. Keywords
Please provide 3–5 keywords that accurately describe the subject of the contribution.
5. Scientific track
Each abstract must be assigned to one scientific track:
T1 – Epidemiology and Public Health
T2 – Chronic Diseases and Multimorbidity
T3 – Nursing and Long-Term Care
T4 – Rehabilitation and Quality of Life
T5 – Medical Imaging and Diagnostics
T6 – Digital Health and Artificial Intelligence
T7 – Education and Clinical Simulation
T8 – Policy, Ethics and Health Systems
The Scientific Board reserves the right to transfer an abstract to another track if this is considered more appropriate.
6. Presentation preference
Authors must indicate their preferred presentation format:
Oral Presentation – 10 minutes presentation + 5 minutes discussion
Poster Presentation – A0 portrait format (84 × 119 cm)
The requested presentation type represents the author's preference. The final presentation format will be determined by the Scientific Board following scientific review.
7. Abstract document
Please upload the abstract using the official FSHMT Scientific Conference 2026 abstract template in Microsoft Word (.docx) format.
Please verify that the information entered in the online submission form corresponds to the information contained in the uploaded document.
8. Submission and review
All submitted abstracts will undergo scientific review.
Abstract submission deadline: 26 October 2026
Notification of acceptance: 6 November 2026
Author registration deadline: 16 November 2026
Presentation/poster upload deadline: 30 November 2026
The Scientific Board may:
• Accept the abstract as an Oral Presentation
• Accept the abstract as a Poster Presentation
• Request revision
• Reject the submission
Authors are responsible for the accuracy of all information submitted and for obtaining the agreement of all listed co-authors.
Scientific contributions may be submitted for either:
• Oral Presentation
• Poster Presentation
Authors must select the most appropriate scientific track when submitting their abstract in Albanian.
