Code of Conduct

Durham University is committed to fostering an inclusive, respectful, and non-discriminatory environment for all conference participants. We ask everyone attending the event to help maintain a welcoming and collegial atmosphere throughout the meeting, regardless of gender, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, race, nationality, religion, or career stage. Harassment or inappropriate behaviour of any kind will not be tolerated.

Participants are expected to conduct themselves in a professional and considerate manner at all times. Inappropriate behaviour includes, but is not limited to, discriminatory or exclusionary language, repeated disruption of talks or conference activities, intimidation, and taking photographs, screenshots, or recordings of individuals without their consent. Offensive remarks relating to personal identity, background, or appearance are also unacceptable.

All forms of communication during the conference should be suitable for a professional academic audience and respectful of the diversity of backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives within the community.
