Description

Experiments with semiconductor quantum devices require thoughtfully crafted electronic hardware which suits the strenuous demands on signal integrity from DC to millimeter-wave frequencies.
Here, we present a cryogenic-compatible, non-magnetic printed circuit board (PCB) design to interface between semiconductor quantum devices and their classical control electronics. This PCB delivers 32 signal lines, low-pass filtered to 300 MHz which are connected to both Glenair AlphaLink and MMCX connectors. A pair of microwave transmission lines, designed for low loss and high signal integrity up to 45 GHz are included on the PCB, to deliver electron spin resonance (ESR) and nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) pulses.
We compare the performance of our PCB at both room and cryogenic temperatures, to numerical simulations in CST Studio. This PCB provides us with a tightly controlled wideband interconnect solution, forward compatible to future, multi-qubit semiconductor devices.
