Description
Many new physics theories predict the existence of heavy, top-philic resonances that couple exclusively to Standard Model top quarks. These hypothetical particles can be probed only by searching for events with three or four top quarks in the final state. In this talk, we will present the latest results from the ATLAS search for these new resonances performed using the full Run 2 dataset ($140\text{ fb}^{-1}$) and a partial Run 3 dataset ($56.3\text{ fb}^{-1}$). The search specifically targets low-background final states with exactly two leptons with the same-sign electric charge or at least three leptons. We discuss the event selection, background estimation techniques, and the resulting limits placed on the mass and cross-sections of the top-philic resonances.
