Description
We present the R package pandemonium as a tool to investigate high-dimensional spaces using visual techniques to understand phenomena in physics and elsewhere.
pandemonium is a high-dimensional cluster analysis tool. It is used to explore linked spaces such as the input and output spaces of a function or two types of measurements on the same observables where relationships are unknown, and are then investigated in terms of predictors and responses. The package performs data preparation, clustering and visualisation within a dynamic GUI for ease of use.
The ${B ^0} \rightarrow {{K} ^{*0}} {\mu ^+\mu ^-} $ decay has been a focus in the search for physics beyond the Standard Model. We explore the parameter and observable space of the LHCb unbinned analysis of this decay in pandemonium. This allows us to visually inspect the effect of the many non-local parameters and understand their relationships to the binned observables.
