Description

In June 2026, the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) at CERN was shutdown, bringing the curtain down on the highly successful Run 3 period of the machine which started in 2022. In this talk, I will survey some of the results already produced using these data from top physics, Higgs results and searches for physics beyond the Standard Model. By 2030, the LHC will be reimagined as the high-luminosity LHC with upgraded experiments prepared to exploit this new era of discovery physics. I’ll touch on this status of this from an ATLAS perspective.
