Description

We perform 3D simulations of supernovae with a variety of magnetic field strengths and rotation rates with the magnetohydrodynamical version of the CoCoNuT code. We simulate a 39 solar mass progenitor star with rapid rotation and three different magnetic field strengths, and a 15 solar mass progenitor with different equations of state, rotation rates, and weak magnetic fields. We discuss the impacts of the magnetic fields on the explosion dynamics, jets, compact remnant properties and gravitational-wave emission.
