The PSD14 conference proceedings will be published in a special issue, or Research Topic, of Frontiers in Detector Science and Technology, and cross-listed with Frontiers in Physics. These open access special issue of Frontiers will allow maximum visibility and impact for the conference proceedings.
All conference participants are encouraged to submit a paper to the PSD14 conference proceedings, which can be in the form of original research, reviews, or technical reports covering the design, development, characterization, and application of position-sensitive detection systems. We particularly encourage submissions that highlight cross-disciplinary transfer of detector concepts and applications across different fields.
Article types: Conference papers can be in a written in a variety of styles, including Original Research, Methods and Techniques, Review or the shorter Brief Research Report. The brief research report is particularly aimed at shorter research papers which may be suitable for early career researchers – the brief research report can have a maximum word count of 4,000 and may contain no more than 4 Figures/Tables.

Submission and fees: This Research Topic is hosted in Frontiers in Detector Science and cross-listed with Frontiers in Physics. Authors may submit their paper to either journal; the respective journal’s Article Processing Charge (APC) will apply. Please refer to the FAQ for further information on APCs. A limited number of 50% fee waivers are available for submissions to Frontiers in Detector Science.
