Description
Smeared spectral functions are crucial in particle physics, with their extraction from noisy finite-volume lattice correlation functions presenting a numerically challenging inverse problem. In this poster, we present closure tests on a selection of phenomenologically-inspired toy models, separately focusing on finite-volume and numerical reconstruction artifacts. We first investigate the approach of smeared, finite-volume quantities to their unsmeared, infinite-volume counterparts in the continuum, to then explore the reconstruction of smeared, finite-volume observables from noisy lattice correlators.
