Description
Schwinger-Keldysh EFTs for fluctuating hydrodynamics have allowed for unprecedented control in otherwise strongly coupled quantum many-body systems, systematically capturing power-law corrections to late time observables, which can be tested numerically on the lattice. Beyond confirming EFT expectations, this allows for better searches for systems where known EFT approaches fail. The close tie between hydrodynamic EFTs and global symmetries suggests that this search may parallel the effort to generalize notions of symmetry beyond group theory. I will show that lattice models with "quantum group" symmetry defy standard hydrodynamic predictions, revealing a novel superdiffusive universality class.
